Hi Bob My apologies for not speaking until now busy day at work. I’ve just opened the Dansette this morning and saw what a brilliant job you’ve done on it and wanted to thank you. The Dansette looks brand new and has been brilliantly restored by yourself. it actually looks brand new.
I’ve put it in its spot and covered it with a sheet pending its unveiling on Monday (Julia’s birthday ), when she can see it herself. We have a few of her parent's old LPs to play which we salvaged so it will be a lovely morning.

Thanks again Bob the timing for its return is brilliant and all your hard work and professionalism in a crazy world Is very appreciated.

"THE peoples record player" You could say Chris is overwhelmed with his restored Dansette Major Deluxe!

I took a video of the Dansette when I got back of the first airing, playing the first pressing 1963 Beatles SHE LOVES YOU, the file was too big to send to you. I will fix it and send it to you. Anyway I have just played the flip side I’ll get you, and it’s amazing , not through the dongle and hifi but just through the Dansette, so Ok , First 1963 pressing of a number 1 Beatles  hit through THE peoples record player, and that’s the sound , not hifi , totally incredible historical moment, I can’t thank you enough! The Dansette sound!

Ok,  Wow .. Wow .. Wow.

That is one gorgeous Stereogram and you have done a fantastic job Bob, the finished unit just looks amazing … I’m sitting here with a huge smile looking at your photos, this is what I have wanted for such a long time, and to get one that has been restored and not have to worry about 50+ yr old electrics working properly is a nice peace of mind. 

The legs looks they are 10ft tall and very eye catching, maybe the 1st vinyl track I will play will be Legs by ZZ Top, I appreciate they gave you some extra work but they do look really good, it’s going to sit really well under my window .. massive thanks again for taking the time to fit them, I know it wasn’t easy. 

Your breakdown of the restoration is very well detailed. A pleasure to read. 
The courier sounds perfect, I’ll trust in your trust in them Bob, can’t have this rare piece being delivered carelessly. 
I’m so looking forward to its arrival and setting it up. It will be so well looked after and cared for. Thank you again for everything Bob, you were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

A truly thoughtful message arrived today from James in Buckinghamshire . He's clearly rather pleased to say the least with  his vintage HMV 'Stereomaster' 2419 radiogram I sourced and restored for him...

The 2419 was successfully delivered by Simon this morning at about 6am. I spent a long time removing the packaging, using perhaps even more care than was actually necessary!

I can confirm that it has transported with no apparent issues arising, and as you noted it is absolutely spectacular in person - it’s really hard to believe this unit is 50+ years old. It’s really quite beautiful, just as a piece of furniture.

Later in the day I was able to set the turntable and play some records. Mechanically it is working perfectly, automation works, tone arm appears still exactly balanced etc. It sounds absolutely superb, and I’m actually surprised by how deep and mellow the bass frequencies are in particular.

Anyway, this is superb work Bob - and the result is better than I could possibly have hoped. Thank you very much for the detailed work and obvious care that you’ve put in to restoring this wonderful piece for us.

Good morning Bob

We presented my father with the Dansette yesterday; he was utterly delighted. We then spent the next 6 hours with him, with a variety of albums playing in the background throughout…..those records hadn’t been out of their sleeves in around 30 years!

Good evening Bob … I am sitting in front of my fantastic HMV Stereo which is absolutely fantastic. I am as you can imagine very pleased with it… worth the wait. All delivered ok by Simon. Stereo radio is brilliant I must be in a good area here. I think I need to read about the blue tooth later!!!! Thank you Bob made an old man happy

Yes, everything arrived OK and your packaging was superb no damage at all. We are absolutely delighted with what you have done and I have managed to link up the Bridgit Box through our sound bar and it’s amazing, so happy we went down this route. Many thanks again for your outstanding work and it’s nice to have in effect re-cycled an old unit which now works well. It will be a fight as to whom gets their favourite records on first.
